Usami&Riusami is a product commissioned by L’Uomo Vogue, in collaboration with Yamamay. 7 designers were selected, and the aim was to design an eco-friendly and recyclable product for the ‘Yamazonia - The Design and the Nature’ event, shown at Galleria Cardi in Milano during the Furniture Fair 2008. Usami&Riusami is a product that depending on how it is folded, it becomes a chair or a table. Usami&Riusami comes from recycled-cardboard boxes trashed by shops, and fully re-recyclable again. All the products which were presented have been auctioned at Galleria Cardi during the Salone del Mobile 2008 in Milano.
My motto was: To design is to create new products. To recycle is to respect the old while looking out to the new.
