Nowadays, observing all the spaces and zones, where do we still have private moments/things/spaces while in the public domain? A solution can be found in bags. Everybody is carrying bags and that’s still our private moment/space into public. The Briefcase in particular, since it contains private documents and it’s meant to protect and hide. The Briefcase is an extension of the Body, and being an extension it has the function of providing more private space. At the same time, it also keep things safe and it protect documents. It works as a sort of protective shell. So, we can say that the briefcase is definitely a piece of private space in the public space. At this point, being affected by public domain, the briefcase would loose all its private features of protecting and hiding, and it will become more public, so more penetrable from the outside. We will represent here the public space with a loose and see-through mesh, while the private will be a tight one. So, once the public space invades the briefcase, the mesh of the briefcase would start becoming less tight, letting people see through it and start perceiving what is inside. In this case the effect of the public domain becomes visible. All the other detail of the briefcase have been kept because the function remains the same.

The model has been made applying epoxy resin to a cotton knitted mesh.
